Oil prices are rising. Is your production resilient enough to handle it?
The impact rarely starts in one place. It spreads — through mobility, machine operation, logistics, and day-to-day industrial activity. Eventually it reaches manufacturing, including processes still running on oil-based media.
That's exactly where the conversation about HAKUFLUID starts.
HAKUFLUID is water-based and completely oil-free, engineered specifically for demanding machining applications. Less dependency on oil doesn't mean less reliability or performance. It means building resilience into your operations before the next price spike forces the decision for you.
Where does your operation feel oil price pressure first — in procurement costs, supply reliability, or somewhere else?

Tramp oil often affects cleaning processes gradually — shortening bath life, increasing downtime, and making results less predictable. Strongly demulsifying cleaners help separate and remove the oil, supporting greater process stability over time.

<![CDATA[
Tramp oil rarely kills a cleaning process all at once — and that's exactly what makes it so dangerous.
It enters the bath gradually. It originates from metalworking fluids, leaks and residue left on parts. At first, nothing seems wrong. Then bath life shortens. Downtime creeps up. Cleaning results become harder to predict.
The critical question isn't how much tramp oil gets in. It's what happens to it once it's there.
The image shows three approaches — strongly demulsifying, partially demulsifying, and emulsifying. With a demulsifying cleaner, the oil separates and rises to the surface where it can be skimmed off, rather than staying suspended in the system and quietly degrading it.
In practice, this translates directly into longer bath life, fewer unplanned stoppages, and more consistent cleaning performance.
Several HAKUPUR products are built around this principle. Strongly demulsifying, compatible with multiple metals, and foam-free even under demanding conditions.

What is required of pretreatment in day-to-day operations?

We will discuss this question in our presentation at the ACE Coating Conference on June 16.

Titled "Sustainable Process Materials for Effective Pretreatment," our presentation will use real-world examples to demonstrate the technical performance and stable, efficient operation of pretreatment processes in everyday industrial use.

Our focus will be on two processes: low-temperature zinc phosphating before cathodic electrocoating (KTL) and thin-film pretreatment before powder and liquid coating.

Additionally, we will examine the requirements that process materials must meet to remain reliable under real production conditions.

Yes, the new fleet turns heads. But at the end of the day, it comes down to who's driving it.
Photos like this tend to draw your eye to the trucks first. That's fair. That's what they're there for: be visible, represent the brand, make an impression.
But there's more to this picture.
This isn't just a fleet shot. There are two people here who show up every day and make sure the operation actually runs. Not just looks good, but runs.
That's what our in-house freight company is built on. Reliability that holds up in the real world. Because we're not hauling general cargo. We're hauling chemicals. Loads where experience, discipline, and attention to detail aren't optional extras, they're the minimum requirement.
The right equipment matters. The right people matter more.

That same mindset shapes our everyday work at Kluthe. That is why our support for Sportclub Neuenheim (SCN) means more to us than sponsorship alone. The club is deeply rooted in Heidelberg and lives by values that matter just as much to us: team spirit, fairness, reliability, and the drive to keep improving together. One particularly special moment was the presentation of a jersey signed by every player during the derby match. Great solutions don't start in a brochure. They start with a conversation. This philosophy has guided our work for over 75 years. Markets evolve, processes become more demanding, and expectations continue to rise. This makes it even more important to listen closely, understand each application and workflow, and develop solutions that stand up to the daily grind of production. That is exactly why PaintExpo 2026 matters to us. It is where we have conversations about real-world challenges, technical requirements, and what needs to work on the shop floor. Keeping resources in circulation Recycling is a key lever for a sustainable industry. Our subsidiary Rematec GmbH contributes by efficiently recycling solvents and paint sludge and returning avoidable waste materials back into the economic cycle. The impact is measurable: In 2025, 53,157 tonnes of CO₂e were saved compared to the production of chemicals from virgin materials. This means: - Conservation of valuable resources - Support of closed-loop material cycles - An active contribution to climate protection This commitment is also recognized externally: In the latest NQC SAQ Assessment, Rematec achieved 82 points, significantly above the industry average of 67 points.
